bcTester 4.9 is a freeware software for barcode reading (linear and 2 dimensional) on digital images captured by scanning or photographing. A lot of input formats are supported, e.g. BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF, JPG. Version 4.9 reads barcodes from Adobe PDF-Files as well. All common barcode types are recognized,, e. g. 2 of 5 familiy, code 39, code 93, codabar, code128, ean, ucc and upc, GS1 DataBar (POS), patchcodes, 2-state and 4-state Post Codes like PostNet, Royal Mail, USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB). bcTester decodes 2D bar codes Aztec, Data Matrix, QR Code and PDF 417. Test if your barcodes are readable and check the content!
bcTester is powered by the same engine as our professional products QS-Barcode SDK and QS-DocumentAssembler.

Recent Changes:

bcTester reads barcodes from images produced by scanners or cameras. Linear barcodes can be recognized as well as new 2D-(two dimensional) barcodes aztec, data matrix, pdf417 and QR Code. Version 4.5 reads barcodes from Adobe PDF Files.
